Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aerospace Buyer - Contract
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $52/hour

We are a national staffing agency partnering with top-tier aerospace and defense companies, and we’re seeking first-class employees to join our clients’ teams!

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Manage purchase orders from award through receipt, including AOG and expedited requests

  • Ensure 3-way match for vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies with accounting

  • Issue purchase orders per contracts/agreements and maintain accurate procurement records

  • Build and sustain strong supplier and vendor relationships

  • Report procurement metrics to Director (on-time delivery, quality, price variance, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with NDAs, export regulations, and contractual obligations

  • Stay current on industry and aerospace manufacturing standards and trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience

  • Must have prior experience as a Buyer in the Aerospace industry

  • Aerospace procurement experience, ideally in a complex manufacturing environment

  • Skilled in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools

  • Experience with product lifecycle management, risk/configuration management, and requirements management

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of aerospace drawings, specs, and manufacturing processes

  • Six Sigma Certification

  • APICS CPIM

  • PMP Certification
