JOB TITLE: Advanced Composite Technician I - Weekend Days Shift
LOCATION: Savannah. GA
PAY RATE: $21.21/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Manufacture composite aircraft parts to meet engineering and manufacturing specifications.

  • Perform composite manufacturing processes, including:

    • Lay-up

    • Cutting

    • Bagging

    • Autoclave operations

    • Trimming

    • Composite repair

  • Read and interpret:

    • Work orders

    • Blueprints

    • Lofts and sketches

    • Operation sheets

  • Verify work quality and ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection.

  • Maintain required logs and production records (MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.).

  • Support FOD, 5S, Lean manufacturing, and safety initiatives.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1+ year of composite manufacturing experience.

  • Experience working with composite resins and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to read and interpret a 6-inch scale.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role.

  • Must be able to work any shift.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Experience:

  • Aerospace or aircraft composite manufacturing experience.

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
