Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: 4×10 (Monday – Thursday, 10‑hour days) • Occasional overtime

Summary:
Provide accurate, timely ASL ↔ English interpretation across all shop activities (operations, briefings, safety talks, trainings, and ad‑hoc discussions).
Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, visitors, and other stakeholders.
Maintain a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and EHS requirements to use correct technical terminology.
Navigate the production area safely, wearing appropriate PPE and modeling safe practices.
Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to RID professional ethics and standards.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
National RID certification (NIC, CI, or CT).
2+ years’ ASL interpreting experience in an industrial, machine‑shop, or manufacturing setting.
Native‑level fluency in ASL and English.
Comfortable working in a noisy, equipment‑heavy environment; able to stand, walk, and gesture for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail, concentration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work the designated 4×10 schedule with occasional OT.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
OSHA or other industrial‑safety certification(s).
A bachelor’s degree is not required for this role.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
