Job Description

JOB TITLE: A&P Mechanic 
LOCATION: Van Nuys, CA
PAY RATE: Up to $48/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

  • Shifts Available (in order of priority):
  • Sunday–Wednesday, 12:30 PM – 11:30 PM

  • Wednesday–Sunday, 12:30 PM – 11:30 PM

  • Sunday–Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft systems in a Part 145 environment

  • Coordinate with maintenance leads and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient repairs and timely return-to-service of customer aircraft

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on aircraft systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable maintenance manuals and regulations

  • Communicate directly with customers regarding aircraft status

  • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required materials

  • Open work orders and prepare maintenance documentation

  • Provide inspection support as authorized by the Chief Inspector

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and shop facility in support of operations

  • Exercise sound judgment in safety and maintenance practices

  • Lead and support team members to ensure efficient task execution

Requirements:

  • Valid A&P License with no violations

  • Experience with Bombardier and/or Gulfstream Aircraft required.

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Part 145 environment 

  • Clean driver’s license

  • A&P, maintenance, troubleshooting

  • Part 145 or 135 experience

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience is a plus

  • Must provide own tools

  • Strong understanding of maintenance reference materials (MM, SRM, IPC, etc.)

  • Experience with CMP and CAMP tracking systems

  • Factory or aircraft-specific training preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management, organization, and multitasking abilities

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong customer service and teamwork orientation

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
