JOB TITLE: 737 Aviation Maintenance Technician - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Jac
ksonville, FL
PAY RATE: $34/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Secret (Not Required to Start)

  • Shift: 1st or 2nd

Qualifying Questions:

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Summary: 

  • Read and interpret wire schematics and diagrams

  • Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity checks

  • Locate correct wire routing on system installations

  • Independently perform AC/DC power checks

  • Complete proper wire installation according to drawings:

    • Correct spacing, cable ties/lacing tape, bundle opening

    • Connector removal/installation, special cable care

  • Perform basic wiring termination:

    • Stripping, ring terminals, stud build-up, connector pins/sockets, splices

    • Shield ferrule/sleeve (solder and crimp), coaxial and shielded twisted pair

  • Use electrical and measuring tools including:

    • Crimpers (Daniels, AMP, Burndy), megohmmeter, multimeter, strippers, bond meters

  • Install fiber optics, coaxial, and quadrax cables

  • Perform Air Data Testing

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, repairs, and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems

  • Report technical issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to leads and management

  • Work at heights using fall protection equipment (Fall Protection Certification required)

Requirements:

  • Secret clearance (Not Required to Start)

  • High School diploma or GED or 3+ years of industry or military experience

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience (Level B position)

  • Experience with 737 aircraft

  • Ability to troubleshoot fiber optic systems

  • Ability to terminate and install connectors

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Open to military or corporate backgrounds

  • Must be able to work at heights per OSHA Fall Protection Regulations (1926, 1910 Subpart D)

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification

  • Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance processes including:

    • Human Factors

    • FOD control

    • Tool control

    • Health & Safety / COSHH
