Job Description

JOB TITLE: Support Engineering Data Specialist 3 
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $55.75/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a clearance.

  • Shift: Primarily 1st shift; flexibility to work 2nd shift as needed.

  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel possible.

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

Summary: 

  • Analyze engineering, reliability, maintainability, supply chain, and operational data to develop aircraft maintenance instructions.

  • Write and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.

  • Develop maintenance tasks, logistics support analysis records, and recommendations to improve product supportability and maintainability.

  • Review logistics support analysis reports and revise Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) as needed.

  • Track task completion using workflow management tools and perform quality checks on maintenance deliverables.

  • Validate maintenance manual procedures for accuracy and effectiveness on aircraft.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to schedule maintenance task validation activities.

  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to verify aircraft maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a clearance.

  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance and/or modification experience.

  • 5+ years interpreting engineering data for maintenance manuals or technical publications.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using airplane maintenance manuals in a line maintenance environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical tasks in a structured environment.
