Job Description

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. – This needs to be noted on top of the job description for these levels or job codes

Regular and predictable attendance is required – Must be added to all job descriptions in Beeline

Develops program and project requirements, develops highly complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions, including alternatives for the Production System. Validates analysis of technical data, influences product engineering design and makes robotics, automation or technical recommendations to support production system integration for a aerospace products. Leads the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition at the program level. Executes project plans, provides input to Make/Buy decisions and partners with Procurement to meet program schedule, cost and quality targets. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Leads gated reviews and develops plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance and spares. Validates contractual performance milestones. Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation. Conducts studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.

Primary Responsibilities:

Designs, analyzes and modifies aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling that meet stakeholder requirements.

Researches, develops, evaluates and integrates robotics, automation, and new technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products.

Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications.

Estimates, plans, manages and executes the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling.

Develops and implements testing and acceptance to validate performance.

Creates and maintains related documentation for equipment and tooling, develops preventative maintenance plans and trains personnel as needed.

Develops and implements interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment and tooling.

Investigates engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with company procedures.

Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling. 



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

5 or more years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.

5 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems.



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.

Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle., Project Code :
