JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer 3
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $72.50/hour  

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4x10 (A shift: Sun-Wed, B shift: Wed-Sat), must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Lead and support manufacturing plans, BOM, work instructions, and illustrations for as-built configuration

  • Identify tooling requirements and process tooling orders based on manufacturing needs

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues

  • Collect data for producibility assessments of parts or product designs

  • Develop work statements and sequencing with internal partners

  • Review, maintain, and monitor internal documents

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches and processes

  • Lead collaboration, integration, and Build Integration milestones across commodities

  • Analyze design concepts and investigate alternative solutions for producibility requirements

  • Resolve complex technical problems and provide guidance through mentoring

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR)

  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • 9+ years related work experience

  • Experience in Electrical Manufacturing Engineering role

  • Experience in wire bundle fabrication, wiring installation, or electrical equipment installation

  • 3+ years leading a team (formal or informal)

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects

  • EDA tools experience (OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, Altium, PSPICE) preferred

  • Aircraft maintenance/modification experience preferred

  • WIRS software experience preferred
