Summary: 

• Evaluate and qualify electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components for use in aerospace assemblies.

• Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with Boeing requirements and applicable specifications.

• Apply experience with harsh environment/high-reliability design, including aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial applications.

• Utilize knowledge of connectors, wiring, and cable fabrication, including cable/harness installation and integration.

• Provide engineering support for new product development and legacy programs, recommending appropriate alternate components.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (not required to start)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and 9+ years of related experience (or equivalent: Master’s + 7 years, PhD + 4 years).

• Electrical design and/or testing experience with components, wiring harnesses, connectors, and cables.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in wiring design, cables, and connectors as a primary responsibility.

• Experience in military aerospace disciplines (defense contractor or military background), especially Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).

• Strong familiarity with military and aerospace electrical specifications (MIL-SPECs).

• Understanding of aircraft and weapons systems to recommend appropriate alternate electrical components.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with project management tools to manage cost, schedule, and performance.

• Working knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN, and Quality principles.

• Experience developing work statements, defining technical strategies, and providing consultation across engineering teams.

• Significant experience with military and industry specifications related to electrical systems and components.
