Job Description

JOB TITLE: Airborne Electronic Hardware Engineer – Level 5
LOCATION: Everett, WA
PAY RATE: $106.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 1st shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

  • Domestic travel: ~10%; International travel: none

Summary: 

  • Oversee and guide teams developing airborne electronic hardware devices for airplane systems

  • Provide compliance verification or assist in achieving compliance in accordance with FAA regulations for airborne electronic hardware development

  • Direct suppliers to improve performance against contractual requirements (quality, delivery, cost, technical, safety, communication, etc.)

  • Support audits, design reviews, and risk evaluations; assist suppliers in implementing risk mitigation plans

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources, utilizing tools, processes, and methods to enhance supplier performance and meet program objectives

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to support airplane system goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 7+ years experience developing complex electronic and electrical systems, including electronic device development, verification, or compliance activities

  • 5+ years engineering experience associated with certified airborne electronic hardware

  • Experience with DO-254 compliance standards

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)

  • FAA Designated Engineering Representative, Authorized Representative, or Engineering Unit Member experience in a delegated compliance organization
