JOB TITLE: Test Engineer
LOCATION: Syracuse, NY
PAY RATE: $40/hour

Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer responsible for planning, executing, documenting, and maintaining test solutions for both in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the system through comprehensive test plans, detailed test procedures, and effective testing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute detailed test plans and procedures for subsystems and system-level testing.

  • Conduct integration regression testing and ensure proper validation of fixes.

  • Perform testing on customer samples and specialized test scenarios.

  • Write detailed discrepancy reports and provide feedback for product improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Evaluate requirements for testability and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.

  • Strong technical writing skills to create clear and comprehensive test procedures.

  • Experience with electrical test measurements and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of RF, radar, and/or sonar systems.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM) practices (e.g., EPDM).

  • Experience with Factory Management Systems (e.g., Solumina).

  • Basic networking knowledge.

  • Strong documentation and procedural development skills.

  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.

  • Understanding of digital and analog electronics and their testing.
