JOB TITLE: (P) Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: 
Syracuse, NY
PAY RATE: $40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Schedule: 4/9/4 (Mon–Thu: 9 hrs, Fri: 4 hrs | 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Mon–Thu, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM Fri)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes and production layouts

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects and initiatives

  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production planning

  • Evaluate performance of machinery and tools; identify and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality

  • Provide design input to engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and equipment use

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles; Green Belt certification or knowledge preferred

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

  • At least 1 year of relevant industrial experience; 2–3 years preferred

  • Self-starter with strong initiative and teamwork skills

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles a plus

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
