Summary: 

• Seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) with DB2 experience to support and manage the smooth operation and physical design of databases.

• Responsible for maintaining database performance, integrity, and security while implementing improvements and supporting integration efforts.

• Implement and maintain database operations, focusing on DB2 environments

• Review database design and integration of systems

• Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery procedures

• Monitor transaction activity and resource utilization

• Develop and manage operational procedures

• Oversee environment management and database health (proactive/reactive monitoring)

• Plan for resource needs, database upgrades, and transitions between development, test, and production environments

• Create and enforce policies, procedures, and standards related to database management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Proven experience with DB2 databases

• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and database lifecycle management

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
