JOB TITLE: (P) Aircraft Inspectors - Free Housing Support
LOCATION: Charleston, SC
PAY RATE: $30/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

  • Shift: Variable shifts; must be open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift assignment.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform inspections and verify product conformance to design requirements

  • Identify and document non-conformances; segregate and control non-conforming items

  • Conduct product reviews with customers and support defect management

  • Support FSCC and Chronic Issues Team (CIT) to drive process improvements

  • Participate in root cause analysis and initiate corrective action requests

  • Use precision inspection tools (microwaves, digital gauges, isoscopes, etc.)

  • Perform paint inspection and rework on composites, aluminum, and titanium

  • Support shift turnover communications and weekend/holiday overtime planning

  • Provide OJT and training support to teammates

  • Participate in Kamishibai and Gemba walks, identifying and following up on Kaizen actions

  • Complete work during absenteeism periods to maintain production schedules

  • Adhere to safety certifications including fall protection, flight line badge, and LOTTO

  • Work occasionally on the flight line as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and typically 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational training or Associate degree)

  • Must be willing to work any shift based on operational needs

  • 1+ years of experience with Velocity and production applications

  • 1+ years of experience in analytical/problem-solving roles

  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting (up to 10 lbs), climbing, walking, standing, and use of hand tools

  • Occasional reaching above shoulder level, squatting, kneeling, crawling

  • Exposure to sealants, solvents, adhesives, painted parts, metals, and noise

  • Must be able to work at heights and use fall protection equipment

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working at heights with fall protection

  • Proficiency in NCR/EPD generation tools (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR)
