JOB TITLE: Senior Stress Engineer - Aerospace
LOCATION: Bothell, WA
PAY RATE: $55.00 - $95.00 per hour.

Summary:
Perform stress analysis of complex interior, system and structural installations
Derive specific installation requirements from FAA and customer requirements; determine critical loads and substantiation path for installations, assemblies, and details
Review engineering drawings for structural integrity and compliance with FAA regulations
Utilize classical hand analysis methods and Finite Element Modeling techniques
Help the stress engineering manager in developing standards and best practices
Complete stress analysis documents to show compliance to FAA regulations
May perform as functional “Lead” for stress team on specific project(s)
Required Skills:
Bachelor's of Science (B.S) in Engineering or equivalent, minimum 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Aerospace Experience Required
NASTRAN Modeling and FEMAP experience desired
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; write technical reports and correspondence; to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus
Working knowledge of Microsoft products and Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CAD)
Aviation background and aircraft interior industry experience desired
