Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III 
LOCATION: Tusla, OK
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform structural assembly, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine build sequences

  • Use pneumatic and hand tools (e.g., rivet guns, drills, reamers, rivet shavers)

  • Shape and form complex angles and configurations as required

  • Ensure defect-free work before final inspection

  • Provide guidance to team members on blueprints, installation methods, and shop practices

  • Maintain accurate documentation (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs)

  • Align and install parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and proper tooling

  • Perform repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs

  • Support Lean and 5S initiatives and maintain a clean, safe work environment

  • Use personal protective equipment and follow safety regulations

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Properly handle and dispose of waste materials and fluids

  • Operate ground support equipment following SOPs

  • Accurately log job hours and coordinate with team during shift transitions

  • Return tools and equipment to tool room after use

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 4 years of structural assembly experience

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam; Q-stamp preferred

  • Proficiency in basic computer use and shop math

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, scales, and technical documents

  • Skilled in close tolerance work and use of specialized tools

  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professional attitude

  • Ability to work collaboratively and under tight deadlines

  • Experience working with composite materials

  • Ability to work any shift

  • Must be able to climb ladders, stands, and stairs; lift up to 50 lbs; work in confined spaces

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
