JOB TITLE: Tooling Inspector - Aerospace Experience Required 

LOCATION: Greensboro, NC

PAY RATE: $27.32 - $37.35 per hour

Summary: 

• Responsible for inspecting machined components, sheet metal, and composite components, purchased products and standards, raw materials, assembled products, and outside processing for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Interprets drawings, routings, product specifications, and quality requirements, to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.

• Creates complete CMM measurement programs using drawings and product specifications.

• Interprets and preforms geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) evaluations.

• Assists in receiving inspection operations, checking for conformance to specifications and PO requirements.

• Examines materials and product for surface defects, such as cracks, pits, dents, burrs, nicks, and incomplete welds.

• Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.

• Follows established procedures to verify specified dimensions of product or material.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Associates’ Technical Degree preferred.

• 5 years’ experience as mechanical inspector strongly preferred.

• 3 years’ experience on Zeiss CMM involving programming and operation strongly preferred.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints including true-positional tolerance per ANSI/Y-14.5

• Experience with CATIA and SAP strongly preferred.

• Clear communication of rejections/non compliances

• Data reporting and analysis

• Time/priority management
