JOB TITLE: Remote Structural Analysis Engineer 5

LOCATION: REMOTE, US

Pay Rate: $93.00 per hour

Summary: 

In need of lead capable stress analysts with experience in repairs on 767 and/or 737 Fuselage. These individuals will evaluate if repairs are structurally acceptable with consideration for static, fatigue and damage tolerance as well as any impact to existing Airworthiness Directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements.

  • Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design.

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by defining requirements for development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance of the product.

  • Works with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes that will ensure requirements are met.

  • Reviews and approves certification results.

  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Defines and organizes test programs to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under consultative direction.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 12+ years of experience with the following:

  • Static, Fatigue, Damage Tolerance on metallic fuselage structure

  • Must have Structural repair knowledge

  • Must have min BS in engineering

  • Knowledge of 767 and 737 fuselage structures is very important in order to come in with minimal training

Additional Skills:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)

  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience)

  • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

  • Knowledge of Book 2 and Book 3 is preferred
