Summary: 

  • Responsible for planning and creating visual and written work instructions for the fabrication and installation of parts and assemblies to the aircraft, while maintaining the master build sequence to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.

  • Plan and sequence production operations (fabrication, installation, assembly) for efficiency and timely delivery.

  • Utilize Teamcenter to maintain the aircraft's master build sequence, incorporating cost reductions and eliminating inefficiencies.

  • Create and update planning for engineering changes and obsolete parts.

  • Develop and maintain MBOMs (Master Bill of Materials).

  • Support corrective action investigations and planning issues impacting Certificates of Airworthiness.

  • Collaborate to resolve planning-related issues and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Required Skills:

  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

  • 5+ years of experience in planning documentation (visual or written) and manufacturing (fabrication, assembly, or installations).

  • Experience in composite drilling, electrical harness/avionics installations, or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings and technical specifications.

  • Knowledge of configuration management and MBOM creation/maintenance.

  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), CATIA V5/V6, SAP, and Teamcenter Manufacturing/Process Planning is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Translate complex processes into easy-to-follow instructions.

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop solutions to technical challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and teamwork capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may involve exposure to operational noise, heat, cold, dust, or aircraft-related odors.

  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods.

  • Lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance from provided technology.

  • Adhere to regulatory and safety standards (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.).

  • Effective communication in Business English.
