Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Interior Installation Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform safe removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors, including galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, and panels.

  • Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, FAA paperwork, and quality standards.

  • Use material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

  • Operate tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

  • Maintain and properly care for shop equipment and tools.

  • Install aircraft interior components per operational procedures and quality standards.

  • Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, and fasteners.

  • Ensure proper use of hardware and fittings in aircraft installations.

  • Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required.

  • Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance as needed.

  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes.

  • Collaborate with lead technicians to implement process improvements that reduce cost and cycle time.

  • Create and use simple patterns following standardized procedures.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for installation and removal of interiors.

  • Physically able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work various shifts.

  • Basic computer literacy required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
