JOB TITLE: G700 Aircraft Design Electrical Engineering Contractor 5 

LOCATION: Dallas, TX

PAY RATE: $78.54 - $85.00 per hour.

Summary: 

  • Works on engineering projects containing critical problems, the solution of which requires major technological advances and extensive related development.
  • Responsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.
  • Makes technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.
  • Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.
  • Leads the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Acts independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize technical product, cost and schedule requirements.
  • Works under consultative direction; uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
  • Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
  • Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job's essential functions.
  • 13 years of focused expertise in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of broad engineering experience spanning multiple technical disciplines with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
  • Required Design responsibilities primarily involve the design and development of new and/or derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new, custom, and in-service aircraft.
  • Proficient in System level Wire Diagram/Schematic design for aircraft.
  • Experience in Electrical System integration related to Aircraft Avionics, Lighting, and Audio/Video Entertainment systems.
  • Must be experienced with design tools such as Capital Harness (CHS/XC), AutoCad, or similar 2D electrical design software.
  • Ability to complete system level ELA (Electrical Load Analysis).
  • Ability to develop or decipher technical and test specifications.
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR 25 Subpart H - EWIS based design.
  • Knowledge of Catia V5.
  • Part 25 Certification experience for cabin interiors preferred.
  • Familiarity with aircraft STC procedures preferred.
  • Makes technical decisions and provides recommendations demonstrating leadership authority.
  • Ability to employ design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods as directed to meet the manufacturing, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred
  • The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline
