Job Description

JOB TITLE: Cable Harness Assembler 
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $20.35/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10 – 1st Shift

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Build harnesses from wiring diagrams and form boards; strip, crimp, solder, and assemble copper and coax wire

  • Plug contacts into connectors and torque backshells to Class 3 IPC standards

  • Perform continuity checks on in-process and completed work

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written instructions from engineering

  • Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws for assembly

  • Conduct quality inspections per specifications; disassemble, rework, and test prototype assemblies as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1–2 years’ experience in harness building or cable assembly

  • Ability to follow processes and read harness prints/schematics

  • Strong blueprint reading, writing, and computer skills

  • Prior knowledge of IPC 610/620 requirements a plus; IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification preferred (not required)

  • Ability to read/write English

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
