Job Description

JOB TITLE: Inspector - Circuit Boards (1st Shift)
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $23/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

  • Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM EST; OT may be required on weekends

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform visual inspection of in-process and completed cable assemblies using various measuring devices.

  • Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units based on IPC-A-620 standards and customer specifications.

  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, micrometers, scales, fixtures, and inspection instructions.

  • Monitor quality using statistical process control and other procedures.

  • Collaborate with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues.

  • Ability to identify non-conformances and ensure compliance with IPC-A-620.

  • Perform assembly tasks related to inspection areas when needed.

  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings, parts lists, and work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Use Personal Computers and applications for quality monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in cable inspection within a manufacturing environment

  • Willing and able to perform assembly tasks related to inspection areas when needed

  • Must have experience inspecting soldered and crimped cables per IPC-A-620 standards

  • Previous inspection experience required

  • Detail-oriented and skilled in reading drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision controls, reference documents, and work instructions

  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to interface effectively with assemblers, technicians, engineers, customers, and management to resolve quality issues

  • Proficient with personal computers

  • No degree required

  • Must pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guide

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
