JOB TITLE: CNC Machine Operator
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $29/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

• Per Diem: $110 weekly per diem available for qualified candidates (living over 100 miles from the worksite).

Summary: 

• Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and specifications.

• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, required cuts, and setup methods.

• Uses machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.

• Performs shop computations relating to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

• Lays out stock, marks dimensions, and assembles precision parts into equipment.

• Some machines may be numerically controlled.

• Produce parts or assemblies using conventional and CNC machinery while ensuring product quality.

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously and perform tasks such as deburring, milling, drilling, boring, honing, grinding, and fastening.

• Conduct routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replace filters, change bulbs, maintain lubrication/coolant levels).

• Move products within the immediate work area and process transactions to the next operation.

• Support continuous product flow by assisting and training coworkers.

• Train to become MVP qualified.

• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership (training provided as required).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.

• Ability to work any assigned shift.

• Must be able to stand and work for an entire 8-hour shift.

• Aerospace experience preferred.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
