Job Description

Job Title: Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer

Multiple Location OpeningsTX, SC, WA, CA, NM, CO, KS, VA, NC, GA, OK, MO

Summary: 

  • Ensure efficient, high-quality aircraft production by focusing on configuration control, planning, tooling, sequencing, and build methods.

  • Support manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Resolve production issues related to materials, processes, and tooling.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with Design Engineering, Tooling, Quality, and Production teams.

  • Optimize manufacturing processes through detailed planning and documentation.

  • Identify and resolve production challenges to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain compliance with HACI standards and update planning documents, BOMs, and tool orders.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of aviation experience.

  • Knowledge of aircraft assembly, sequencing, and manufacturing flow.

  • Strong mechanical background in sheet metal (structures) and production processes.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S methodologies, and process improvement.

  • Proficient in SAP, CAD CAM, CATIA, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Six Sigma certification.

  • GD&T training.

  • Airframe & Powerplant license.

  • Experience with aircraft interiors.
